Description

Emogreen L15 is a high-purity, plant-derived emollient that behaves like a lightweight, non-polar oil. It offers a fresh, gliding sensation upon application and leaves a subtle powdery after-feel. It can act as a sustainable alternative to volatile silicones in formulations.

Because Emogreen L15 is inert and non-polar, it works easily within complex formulations and remains stable even under challenging conditions (extreme pH, oxidising or reducing environments).

Recommended Usage Levels

  • Typical range in emulsions or oils: ~ 1 – 5 %
  • In hair care or leave-on formulas: ~ 2 – 10 % (depending on desired texture and slip)

How to Use

In an emulsion, add Emogreen L15 into the oil or lipid phase and proceed with your usual emulsification method. Because it’s inert and non-polar, it blends seamlessly with oils or silicones. In surfactant or cleansing systems, it can enhance slip and sensorial performance.

Because of its robustness, it tolerates challenging conditions — it remains stable even in low or high pH systems.

  • Appearance: clear, colourless liquid (non-polar)
  • Odour: essentially odour-free
  • Polarity: non-polar / inert
  • Solubility / compatibility: miscible with oils and nonpolar phases, inert with actives
  • Biodegradability: readily biodegradable, plant origin, non-GMO (per public sources) 


Sensorial & Skin / Hair Feel

Emogreen L15 imparts a velvety, smooth glide without heaviness. It enhances spreadability, gives softness, and helps formulas feel elegant rather than greasy. In hair formulations, it also helps protect hair fibres from repeated mechanical stress.
